The Economist Calls Jonathan A Failed President, Endorses Buhari

A former dictator is a better choice than a failed president

SOMETIMES there are no good options. Nigeria goes to the polls on February 14th to elect the next president, who will face problems so large—from rampant corruption to a jihadist insurgency—that they could break the country apart, with dire consequences for Nigerians and the world.

And yet, as Africa’s biggest economy stages its most important election since the restoration of civilian rule in 1999, and perhaps since the civil war four decades ago, Nigerians must pick between the incumbent, Goodluck Jonathan, who has proved an utter failure, and the opposition leader, Muhammadu Buhari, a former military dictator with blood on his hands (see article). The candidates stand as symbols of a broken political system that makes all Nigeria’s problems even more intractable.

THIS IS WHY WE NEED BABALAWOS IN NIGERIAN HOSPITALS - BY NAIJASINGLEGIRL

Mid last week, my temperature was running high and since I am clearly not a fan of hospitals, I thought it was best to limit myself to the confines of my room until the sickness disappears but my mom was having none of that. She dragged me to the hospital.
My first reaction when I got there was “WTH! This is crowded.”
I signed up for a medical consultation and found a place to sit.
After 3 hours of waiting, the bad tempered nurse at the reception area called my name.

Help! My Husband Constantly Abuses Me

From Mercedes Facebook Wall. I think a lot of women are going through same but they fail to speak up.

Hi dear, kindly help me publish dis on your wall anonymously. Really wanna sample people's opinions, would have done it myself but if I do the fight no go end. Is it right for a man to call his wife names? Like see as you be like toad, or tortoise or see as you short for ground. Imagine after dressing for church on Sunday and husband looks at you and tells you see as you short like tortoise or toad just to mention a few out of the names. Now that is not even the issue but the problem is that this is beginning to affect my confidence as a woman because I believe my husband should make me feel on top of the world and walk with my shoulders high, I feel he doesn't appreciate me, are his side chicks better than me? So why did he marry me? What really attracted him to me?

APC is a Christian Party - Arch. Namadi Sambo

Video: Is this the lowest moment of the campaign season? Sambo campaigns against Christians in Niger State?
Even by Nigerian standards, it is not everyday that one sees a national politician openly campaign on the basis of religion and when he is being recorded and beamed live on television. It hardly ever happens.
But in the last three weeks, that has been the default rhetoric of Nigeria’s number two citizen, vice president Namadi Sambo.

We ran a poultry farm first; then the poultry farm ran us mad - By NAIJASINGLEGIRL

The proceeds from poultry business seems high during festive period . That was exactly what my parents thought when they ventured into poultry farming in May. Our vision for the business was to be the No1 supplier of christmas chickens in our street come December 2014.
We invited a professional poultry farmer over who lectured us intensively on how to manage one successfully including the type of feed at different growth stage, housing conditions, light, medicine etc
Prior to that, we had eight local chickens and one large agric broiler we rear for domestic purposes like crowing, playing ( I have this weird habit of talking to animals) or slaughtering when an unexpected august visitor shows up.
Done with the setup, we kick-started the business with 170 one day old chicks and 12 sacks of feed.
Everything seemed rosy. l was positive the business would boom beyond leaps that I wouldn’t have to look for a job anymore.
Three days after, 7 of the chicks died.

My First Porn Experience - By NAIJASINGLEGIRL

I just got back from visiting a friend. Sammy (not real name), a guy I met three weeks ago has been using all forms of machinations to get me out of the single industry. The short visit I made to his house inspired today’s post.
When I got there, my bachelor was busy in the kitchen (husband material) so I decided to go through his DVD collection.
What I saw there weakened me.
Beneath the stacks of movies lay several porn movies.
Wait…

Single Lady Wants Married Women to know why single ladies date their husbands

I kinda agree!!!

All married women in the house this post is for you

Sex is holy within marriage, & there is no prescribed style. Nowhere in the Bible or Quran does it say that the missionary position is the only sexual style. Not discussing sex in a relationship leads to separation! Many husbands leave their wives to seek sexual pleasures in clubs and brothels, or with girlfriends. Have you ever asked yourself what those ladies have that you don't? Wives have become very frigid and even sleep with their panties on. If you're a married woman, you should sleep Unclad and let your bum touch your husband. Today you find men going out of their way to get a glimpse of a vagina. They page through magazines and even go to lingerie departments in stores hoping to see what's hidden under panties, because their wives hide it from them.

Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala And The Missing Trillions (1) By Chukwuma Charles Soludo

"You can’t cover the moon with your palms.": Igbo proverb. Madam NOI where is our forensic audit report for the missing $20bn. We haven't forgotten
Charles Soludo fires a warning shot at NOI. Quite an interesting read.

I read some of the responses to my article, “Buhari vs Jonathan: Beyond the Election”, and I want to thank everyone who has contributed to the debate. I am glad that the debate has finally taken off. I have decided, for the record, to re-enter the debate if only to set some records straight and hopefully elevate the debate further.  Whom do I respond to? First, let me thank Gov Kayode Fayemi for his very mature and professional response on behalf of the APC. It forms a great basis for deepening the conversation. Pat Utomi, Oby Ezekwesili, Iyabo Obasanjo, and thousands of other patriotic Nigerians have raised the content of the debate. Femi Fani-Kayode made me laugh, as usual. The Gov. Jang faction of the Governors’ Forum played the usual politics, although I know what most of them think privately. Who else? Oh, Peter Obi. Well, since he can’t write and designated Valentine as usual to write for him (who never disputed the NBS statistics that Obi broke world record in the pauperization of Anambra people but instead focused on lies and abuses) I won’t dignify him with a response here. His third class performance in Anambra will be the subject of a comprehensive article later.
